Huttopia Daryl arrives to Mar Azul with a new nature camping proposal

Mar Azul, a locality located approximately 180 kilometers southeast of the city of Buenos Aires, will be the first Latin American destination of Huttopia, a French camping company founded in Lyon in 1999 that currently operates close to 200 campgrounds in nine countries across Europe and North America. The company has chosen a 55-hectare property covered by pine trees, of which 20 hectares will be adapted for camping.

The opening is scheduled for December 4, and the first season will continue until May 2, 2027. Operation will be seasonal, from October through April, in line with the summer holiday period and the milder months of the Buenos Aires coast. The initial proposal includes 240 plots and 20 equipped tents, together with a swimming pool and a common area containing a bar and restaurant.

Rates and accommodation options

Prices begin at 36,000 pesos per night for a basic plot and reach 165,000 pesos for an equipped tent with capacity for five people. Rates will vary according to the season and the category of accommodation. The tents are intended for visitors who wish to experience camping without bringing their own equipment, and they include beds. The plots range from basic options to sites equipped with electricity, an individual grill and a picnic table.

For travelers arriving in a motorhome or caravan, the property will provide water charging and disposal services for gray and black water, an amenity that remains relatively uncommon in Argentina. Connectivity will be deliberately limited: wireless internet access will be available only in some common areas. The site will also offer family activities such as walks and outdoor games, while excursions for adults, including horseback riding, will be provided by local operators.

A seasonal proposal for nature tourism

Huttopia estimates approximately 60,000 overnight stays per year. The investment required for the Mar Azul project is calculated between 3 million and 5 million dollars, and the company expects the establishment to generate between 15 and 25 direct jobs and more than 70 indirect jobs. Food service within the property will be basic and will complement the businesses and restaurants available in Mar Azul and nearby localities.

“We chose Mar Azul because we found a place that represents very well the way we understand nature tourism.”Julien Brun, director of Huttopia for Latin America

Brun explained that the combination of forest, sea and sandy streets was decisive in the company's decision. For visitors seeking a more structured version of nature tourism, the best season to consider the opening will be from December through March, when the coastal weather is more favorable and the full range of services is expected to be operating. The official contact information for reservations and further details has not been provided in the available material.
